Difficulty in User Acquisition for Numerous Web3 Projects
With the rapid development of blockchain technology, the Web3 field has seen a surge of innovative projects. However, despite the unique features of these projects, many face difficulties in user acquisition. According to DappRadar, as of early 2023, there are more than 4000 active DApps worldwide, but many projects have fewer than a thousand daily active users. This challenge in user acquisition mainly stems from the following aspects:
High technical barriers: Traditional Web2 users often encounter complex technical barriers when entering the Web3 world, such as wallet creation, private key management, and smart contract interaction. These technical challenges deter many potential users.
Lack of effective promotion channels: Although Web3 projects have great potential, they often lack effective promotion channels, making it difficult for projects to quickly expand their influence. Traditional advertising and promotion methods have limited effects in the decentralized Web3 ecosystem, leading to significant challenges in user acquisition.
Low user engagement: Many Web3 projects have weak social interaction and user engagement, and users often lose motivation to continue participating after completing a single task. This lack of deep user engagement and sense of community belonging slows the growth of the project ecosystem.
